What is Healing Challahs?
We send complete challah-baking kits to volunteers, who bake a fresh challah for someone in cancer treatment or recovery and deliver it locally.
Where are you active right now?
Phase 1 is San Francisco only. We plan to expand to the wider Bay Area next.
Can I request a challah for myself?
Yes — use the Request a Challah form. You can pause or opt out at any time.
Do I need any baking experience?
No — the kit includes a recipe card and everything measured out. If you can follow a recipe, you can do this.
Are delivery volunteers background-checked?
Not currently. Deliveries are designed to stay low-contact — a porch drop-off or a brief, public handoff.
